Summer 2018 Boards:

– 5.6x 18 5/16x 2 1/4 Swallow Tail, Captain caveman. EPS epoxy.

This board is for the small summer sessions, when the waves have little power and are between 1ft-3ft. This will be the perfect summer beach board, it will allow me to gather speed easily and with little effort, while also being very easy to manoeuvre. This is down to the lightness of the new Adams Surfboards EPS epoxy’s.

– 5.8x 18 3/16x 2 3/16 squared squash, P17. In EPS epoxy.

This board is for the clean head high sessions, between 3ft-4ft days. I ordered it in the New EPS epoxy for the summer, this is the copy of my standard short board just 1inch shorter. Due to the epoxy having more float it will allow me to get into the waves earlier, while not affecting the manoeuvrability.

– 5.9x 18 3/16x 2 3/16 squared squash, P17. Regular PU.
This is my regular short board for everyday waves, ranging from 3ft-6ft swell. This is my “go to” when the waves are good and fun, the P17 was created as an all round shortboard. It performs really well in the pocket and maintains a lot of down the line speed. Having this in PU means that it will go well when its windy, this is when the Epoxy’s struggle, due to the lightness of the boards, when powering through the chop on the faces of the waves.

– 5.10x 18 1/4x 2 3/16 rounded squash, P17. Regular PU.

This is my comp step up, its 1/16 wider and 1inch longer than my standard short board. I will use this board when the waves are between 5ft-7ft, mainly in point-break waves, where its more drawn out carves and long bottom turns.
Autumn – Winter 2018 Boards:
– 5.11x 18 3/16x 2 3/16 Round tail, Step up P17. Regular PU.
This is my regular step up I order every year. Its my got to for the lumpy winter swells ranging from 5ft-7ft, more used for long carves and down the line speed. However it does also go well on barrels where you require a bit of mobility to pump through sections.
– 6.1x 18 1/4x 2 3/16 Round tail, P17. Regular PU.
This will be my go to barrel board, mainly used on slabs or hollow reefs. The round tail holds real nice when dropping in on the steep sections. I will also tend to have more of the width under the chest for better paddle power into the waves.
– 6.4x 18 1/4x 2 1/4 Round Pin, Step up P17. Regular PU.
– 6.6x 18 1/4x 2 3/16. Round Tail, Step up P17. Regular PU.
These boards are my Step up Quemao boards, there purely for late take offs and large barrels. Our main aim with these boards are control of speed, you want them fast but also easy to slow down if necessary. I will also tend to put carbon stringers on these boards to add a little extra strength and harder FLEX.
