How do you become a surfer growing up in England?
like any other coast line in the world, you deal with the conditions you have and have as much fun as possible in it. for sure its harder than most places, but it makes it more challenging and i like that.
What about the waves in your area? what kind of waves it is? Frequency, quality? what do you like in those waves? what's missing?
my local beach, has fun smash able waves, its fickle at times. but when its on, its my Favourite spot in the world, partly because its my home and I know everyone there, i can take as many waves as i like, etc
I'm sure everyone feels the same about there home break.
Could you possibly live somewhere else than Cornwall?
yeah i think i could live in south west France, Australia, Hawaii. but i would always have to go back to my real home every now and then, as it is a very special, beautiful place and all my friends, family are there.
what's your plans for the next 5 years? (about surfing, tours, personal life...)
I'm going to give the WQS my best shot, and try and qualify, its a dream for me. I have got this far, i have to keep on chasing it. Unless I'm not having a good time, for me life is about being happy, and if i become unhappy doing what i love the most, i will have to try a new route.
What's your goal as a surfer?
anything you really want to achieve?
my ultimate goal is to qualify for the WCT, but i also want to visit and surf in as many surf destinations as i possibly can. i want to discover the whole world. my friend matt is sailing around the world soon. i want to find a new wave somewhere with him, that would be cool, and give it a name.
