Adams Surfboards Team Rider Lucy Campbell Becomes 2017 UKPST British Champion

Quite a year for our pro rider Lucy Campbell from Woolacombe we would say for 2017!

In addtion to being featured in the Daily Mail as England’s top female surfer and appearing in Landrover’s ‘Waste To Wave’ project it’s been a year smashing personal bests and claiming titles.

Still stoked as ever to be riding Adam’s Surfboards throughout this years campaigns we caught up with Lucy when she checked in recently from her busy schedule.

“Hey Guys just a quick note and checking in, boards are awesome and thank you sooo much for doing what you do!!!”

I was over the moon to win the Thurso leg of the UKPST for the 4th year in a row which has also put me finishing in first place on the Women’s tour! I became English Women’s champion earlier this year, my QS season may not have gone as planned but I had a couple of good results, finished in the top 100 and learned a lot ready for next year!

As for plans I have coming up, over the next few days I start the 3 year process of filming a documentary aimed at the BBC on my Journey to the Olympics! Am then hoping to head to Ireland to film a short beautiful and rugged film that we are hoping to enter into National and International film festivals. At the end of November I’m heading to the Philippines for a surf trip with some of the European surf/ gossip magazines then it’s on to training ready for next season!

Hope to hear from you and have a proper catch up and a session back home together soon!

Thanks Guys!!

Lucy xx
